Hi. I am Pin Chen — Chong Pin Shin, or 品晨. I am an undergraduate at Peking University, majoring in physics. I was born in Singapore and raised between Xiamen and Singapore, which makes me a third culture kid.

I build things. I made PageFlow, an open-source native macOS PDF reader written in Swift and PDFKit. I founded Lemon, a consumer social marketplace in Singapore that grew to 600+ users and was featured on Singapore National TV and in The Business Times. I built Locus Space, an infinite-canvas workspace for agent-human co-working, which placed top three in the Creativity Track at HackTech 2026 at Caltech, and Crux AI, an interview simulator with real-time audio.

I write creative non-fiction essays — a medium of expression, and a tool for reviewing my own thinking. You can read them at pinchen.me/blog. I also play guitar, shoot 35mm film, skateboard, and play football.
